Upcoming classes - Minnesota

Class #1

The Sherburne County Amateur Radio Operators are presenting a one day class and test session. You can go from knowing nothing to becoming a licensed Technician Amateur Radio Operator or upgrade to General in one day. The class is on April 26, 2008 from 8:30 AM, to around 5:00 PM at the Great River Energy offices in Elk River MN.

The class and study material are FREE. There is a $14.00 fee for the administration of the FCC test.

Don't forget about 146.52

When traveling to Florida, I was congratulating a ham for monitoring 146.52. He informed me that he is a member of the Simplex peservation society and gave me the web site:

The word on this should be spread widely, since there were very few towns where I could conjure up a response on 146.520. Maybe you are already familiar with this web site.
