TECHNICIAN CLASS LICENSING MANUALS TECHNICIAN is the entry-level course of study for beginners learning Amateur Radio. It covers basic radio theory, rules & regulations, and information required for persons who wish to get their very first license. The Technician test (Element 2) contains 35 questions from a pool of 392 possible questions. No Morse Code is required for this license. GORDON WEST’S TECHNICIAN CLASS AMATEUR RADIO THEORY 2006: Valid through June 2010. Contains everything you need to learn to become a licensed ham radio operator. The complete question pool is reorganized into logical topic groups for easier learning. ARRL HAM RADIO LICENSE MANUAL – TECHNICIAN: Valid July 1, 2006 Will provide the information you need to pass the 35-question license test. It covers theory, rules & regulations, and other information leading to the General class license. To work on your General license you must hold at least a Technician license. The General test (Element 3) contains 35 questions from a pool of 484 possible questions. No Morse Code is required for this license. All the exam questions with answer key, detailed explanations for all questions, including FCC rules. HANDIHAM ONLINE GENERAL CLASS AUDIO LECTURES: Valid July 2007 – June 2011 GENERAL CLASS QUESTION & ANSWER POOL: 6th Ed. 2007- Valid through June 2011. EXTRA CLASS LICENSING MANUALS EXTRA is the highest license class. You must hold at least a General class license to work on your Extra license. The Extra test (Element 4) contains 50 questions from a pool of 738 possible questions. No Morse Code is required for this license. All the exam questions with answer key, detailed explanations for all questions, including FCC rules. EXTRA CLASS MATH SHORTCUTS: Read by long-time instructor/volunteer Tony Tretter, W0KVO. In this tape, Tony teaches you some basic math shortcuts that will help you pass the new Extra Class exam. Essential reading! These players are available without charge from a variety of sources, including your local State Services for the Blind and the Library of Congress*. Special audio files (RA, MP3, etc.) will be made available only to members with disabilities. Notice! You cannot play the MP3 CD's on a regular CD player. They must be used on a screenreading computer or a player that decodes mp3 format audio. *The Library of Congress provides free loan of books and magazines on tape to persons who are unable to read or use standard print materials. The Library also provides playback equipment on free loan to eligible persons.
