How to change your address with the FCC using the Universal Licensing System

To change an address associated with a license, go to the Universal Licensing System, http://wireless.fcc.gov/uls/index.htm?job=home, select Online Filing, and do the following:

1. Login with your FRN and Password. Note: TINs (Tax Payer Identification Numbers) may no longer be used for logging into ULS, effective December 14, 2003.
2. Choose Update from the Work on This License menu on the right hand side of your License At A Glance screen.

Elmer: A flagpole you can afford

While at a Convention & Hamfest last weekend, I saw a really neat flagpole antenna. It was a "Force 12" 15 and a half foot tall vertical made from really solid-looking aluminum of a diameter that made it look like a real flagpole. Heck, it is a flagpole! You can hoist a flag up on this thing and it would take the wind without folding over. It looked darned good, too - nice, shiny aluminum, not some cheesy plastic pipe with a conductor hidden inside. The base insulator was some solid material, but it looked sturdy enough.
